NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) commenced the registration process for the Joint Entrance Examination Main 2024 January session on November 1 and the last date to apply for the exam is November 30, 2023, up to 9 PM. Candidates who wish to appear in the JEE Main exam 2024 can apply for the same through the official website.
For Academic Session 2024-25, the JEE (Main) 2024 will be conducted in two Sessions i.e.Session 1 (January 2024) and Session 2 (April 2024).JEE Main 2024 Session 1 is set to be conducted from January 24 and February 1, 2024, while the JEE Main Session 2 will be conducted between April 1 and April 15, 2024.

JEE Mains 2024 New Official Website
The National Testing Agency has launched a new website address where all official information related to the JEE Mains 2024 will be released to the applicants. The new official website address is jeemain.nta.ac.in. Earlier, the website was jeemain.nta.nic.in.
A Digital Assistance for Applicants
The new JEE Main website also provides an automated chatbot that will work as an online assistant to help candidates who apply for JEE Mains January 2024. This new feature is available at the bottom right corner of the homepage of jeemain.nta.ac.in.
Registration through ABC & DigiLocker
In order to register online for the JEE Mains 2024, candidates will be required to create a DigiLocker account through a National Academic Depository (NAD) portal or an Academic Bank of Credits ID (ABC ID). Candidates who do not want to register using DigiLocker or ABC ID will have to report to the allotted exam centre an hour earlier than the entry time on the examination day.
Number of Exam Cities
This year, the NTA has decreased the number of JEE Main 2024 exam cities to 300. Last year, the number of exam cities was 304.
JEE Mains 2024 Syllabus
The NTA has also revised the JEE Mains Syllabus 2024. Some chapters have been removed from the syllabus completely while a few sub-topics have been eliminated to align them with the NCERT curriculum for Class 11 and Class 12 students.

JEE Main 2024 Application Fees
The JEE Main application fees have also been decreased for the 2024 entrance exams. Last year, the male candidates from the General, General-EWS, and OBC (NCL) categories had to pay an application fee of Rs 1,000 and female candidates for the same categories had to pay Rs 800.
Now, the JEE Mains 2024 application fee is Rs 900 for the male candidates from the General-EWS and OBC NCL categories.
