Jeremy Renner plans to release a musical diary that will document his healing journey after a snowplow incident nearly cost him his life last year.
“New musical diary — story of life, death, recovery, all things learned along the way,” Renner, 52, wrote on Instagram next to a picture of himself and his daughter, Ava, sitting on a dock and looking out on the water of Lake Tahoe in Nevada. (He shares Ava with ex-wife Sonni Pacheco.)
According to the Saturday post, Renner plans to release the diary, which is titled “Wait,” on Jan 1, 2024 — the one-year anniversary of his accident.
“I can’t wait to share more with you,” the “Hawkeye” actor concluded.
In January, the Oscar nominee was severely injured after a Kässbohrer-brand PistenBully snowplow ran over his leg, shattering more than 30 bones.
The actor was airlifted to a nearby hospital after losing a “serious” amount of blood and was listed in “critical but stable” condition.
Video obtained by The Post showed the “Bourne Legacy” star moments after being loaded into the helicopter on a snowy hill near his Mt. Rose-Ski terrace home.
At the time, a spokesperson for the actor said he was injured in Nevada “after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow.”
Renner later admitted he had failed to properly apply the emergency break after removing the snow from his residence, which caused the plow to slide. He was the only one injured on the scene.
“Deputies coordinated with Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and RESMA Health to arrange for medical transport of Mr. Jeremy Renner via care flight to a local area hospital,” the sheriff’s office said.
The “Arrival” star has since been very open about his recovery. In March, he shared a video walking on an anti-gravity treadmill.
“I now have to find OTHER things to occupy my time so my body can recover from my will,” Renner posted on X (formerly Twitter).
The following month, he sat down with Diane Sawyer for his first on-camera interview since the accident in an hour-long special titled, “Jeremy Renner: The Diane Sawyer Interview – A Story of Terror, Survival and Triumph.”
“I chose to survive,” Renner told the renowned journalist. “You’re not going to kill me. No way.”
Several members of Renner’s family, including his nephew Alexander Fries, whom he saved from the plow, were also interviewed by Sawyer, 77, about the harrowing situation.
“I just perfectly see him in a pool of blood from his head,” Fries recalled. “I ran up to him. I didn’t think he was alive.”
According to the “28 Weeks Later” actor, he would make the same choice again if he had to.
“I’d do it again,” stated Renner. “Because it was going right at my nephew.”
“Wait” is set to stream on Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon music starting on Jan. 1, 2024.
