Jimmy Choo is changing universe. After a capsule collection featuring the manga heroine Sailor Moon, created in collaboration with the series’ author Naoko Takeuchi, the British luxury shoe manufacturer is now teaming up with the French fashion house Jean Paul Gaultier.

Sandra Choi and Florence Tétier, creative directors of Jimmy Choo and Jean Paul Gaultier respectively drew on the heritage of both brands to build this collection, which will be launched worldwide in October in selected stores.
This collection, halfway between London and Paris, includes pumps with transparent plastic heels that feature Big Ben and the Eiffel Tower. In another style, thigh-high boots become a second skin embellished with tattoo-like drawings, while a pair of ankle boots are finished with a denim cuff.
Owned by the American Capri Holdings group, Jimmy Choo recently signed a licensing agreement with global optical giant EssilorLuxottica for the design, manufacture and worldwide distribution of eyewear. For its part, Jean Paul Gaultier is also teaming up with another label this autumn, British women’s ready-to-wear label KNWLS.
