Remember when Jimmy Fallon played video games on his Nicole Kidman date?
The late-night host, 49, recalled the time Kidman revealed their supposed dating history during a recent episode of 20 Questions: On Deadline. In 2015, the Oscar winner joked about their awkward meet cute when she appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
At the time, a blushing Fallon cringed the more Kidman revealed how downright awful their interaction was.
“Nicole Kidman totally blindsided me on my show,” he said of the viral moment. “We were just there to talk about one of her movies or something she was going to win an award for. She was great and she looked amazing and we were talking and she goes, ‘Did you know that we dated?’”
He went on, “My face just melted. It was the most embarrassing thing.”
The actress, 56, recalled how a mutual friend brought her to Fallon’s apartment in New York City when she was casting her love interest in 2005’s “Bewitched.”
“I just remembered I liked you. Not now, I’m married now,” Kidman said at the time, referencing her husband, Keith Urban.
“What? Wait, what’s going on? … Did I date Nicole Kidman? Did we go on a date?” Fallon replied on his NBC show.
“You didn’t talk at all, and after about an hour and a half I thought, ‘He has no interest. This is so embarrassing,’” Kidman continued. “I was like, ‘Maybe he’s gay.’”
The former “Saturday Night Live” star then hid behind his hands and tried to crouch behind his desk out of embarrassment.
“What’s been fun is running into Keith Urban at all these parties and stuff, who’s a really good sport,” Fallon said on 20 Questions: On Deadline. “I went up to him at the Met Gala and went, ‘Hey, I think we might have dated once?’”
Kidman would actually meet the country singer, 56, in 2005 and they’re now the parents of daughters Sunday, 15, and Faith, 13. Fallon, for his part, shares daughters Winnie, 10, and Frances, 9, with wife Nancy Juvonen.
