Jisoo of Blackpink and actor Ahn Bo-hyun’s break-up confirmed ‘due to busy schedules’

The romance between K-pop star Jisoo of Blackpink and Korean actor Ahn Bo-hyun is over, two months after their relationship became public.

The news was confirmed by Jisoo’s management agency on Tuesday.

“Due to busy schedules, Jisoo and Ahn recently ended their relationship,” YG Entertainment said.

South Korean broadcaster JTBC broke the news hours earlier, also saying the couple split because of their busy schedules.

The two confirmed they were in a relationship on August 3 after being spotted together on dates. “They are currently in the phase of acquainting themselves with each other,” YG said in August.

Jisoo, 28, was the first member of superstar girl group Blackpink to confirm she was dating. The other members of the group, Jennie, Lisa and Rose, have remained silent about rumours they are dating.

Blackpink debuted in 2016 and soon achieved global fame with their catchy music, including songs such as “Whistle,” “Ddu-du Ddu-du” and “As If It’s Your Last”.

In March, Jisoo made her solo debut with her album Me.

In addition to music, Jisoo has been pursuing an acting career. In 2021, she made her acting debut in Korean network JTBC series Snowdrop.

Most recently, she made a cameo appearance in the film Dr. Cheon and the Lost Talisman. She is reportedly in talks to make her big-screen debut in Omniscient Reader.

Ahn, 35, who began his career as a model in 2007, made his acting debut in the 2014 series Golden Cross.

He is set to star in period film Noryang: Deadly Sea, the third and final instalment of director Kim Han-min’s epic naval action trilogy about 16th century admiral Yi Sun-sin.
