Jockeys are making a stand against the Eagle Farm Racecourse after a rider was thrown from his mount in a scary situation on Saturday.
There have been a series of incidents at around the 600m mark and jockeys believe the horses are being spooked due to a building development.
After Saturday’s incident where jockey Robbie Dolan was lucky to escape serious injury after he was dismounted from Victory Command, the last two races of the day were called off.

Crisis talks were held and the Queensland Jockey Association then decided to boycott the track.
The building site is a large 13-storey apartment with one commentator saying it looks like it is “literally being built right next to the outside rail”.
Queensland Jockey Association president Glen Prentice said enough was enough.
“We should be counting our lucky stars that Robbie (Dolan) is here today and walking around with only a broken wrist.
“It could have been a lot worse.
“At the end of the day, we don’t want to stop racing here. This is our premier racetrack, every jockey wants to come to Eagle Farm to ride, but they want to be able to go home to their family that night as well.”
Prentice said the development was “imposing”.
“So when (the horses) come to that 600 metre mark some horses have taken quite a large fright at it.
“They think they’re going to run into it so their natural reaction is to shy away.”
According to a report compiled by the Queensland Jockey Association, there have been 15 examples of horses being spooked at that section of the track.
In a move to bring the jockeys back to the course, race officials are planning to hide the development with new signage.
It has been reported by Racenet that the Queensland Jockeys Association would be happy to race at the track when the new signage was erected.
However, before they return and after the signage is up, they want a set of tests conducted on horses that are unfamiliar with the track and the looming building site.
