Joe Flacco merchandise is flying off the shelf amid the veteran quarterback’s incredible comeback run.
Sales for Flacco’s No. 15 Browns jersey increased by 400 percent from his first win on Dec. 10 to Cleveland’s playoff-clinching victory over the Jets on Dec. 28, according to a report from TMZ Sports.
Flacco’s jersey is now the best-selling for a Browns player and top 20 among all players in the NFL.
Remaining a free agent until mid-November, Flacco signed with the Browns’ practice squad after starter Deshaun Watson went down with a fracture in his throwing shoulder.
Flacco then earned his first game action in early December after rookie QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson suffered a concussion during Week 12.
After an impressive win over Jacksonville in Week 14, Flacco was officially named the Browns’ starter under center for the rest of the season.
The 38-year-old signal-caller has led Cleveland to a 4-1 record, throwing for 13 touchdowns and four straight 300-yard passing yards for the playoff-bound Browns.
Flacco spent the first 11 seasons of his career with the rival Baltimore Ravens and helped them win a Super Bowl in 2013, taking home MVP honors in the victory.
He has bounced around the league since leaving Baltimore in 2018, spending time with the Broncos, Jets and Eagles.
Flacco most recently played three seasons for the Jets, making 12 appearances and nine starts.
At 11-5, the Browns have locked up the top Wild Card spot in the AFC.
The Browns will go on the road during the wild card round to play either the Jaguars or the winner of the Texans-Colts game.
