Justin Timberlake downed a stiff “double” martini before his arrest for allegedly drunk driving in the Hamptons earlier this week, according to reports.
Timberlake, 43, ordered a Vesper Martini from the menu of the American Hotel in Sag Harbor on Tuesday, sources told the Daily Beast, who described the recipe as “all alcohol.”
“There is no mixer,” the source said.
The drink, created by James Bond author Ian Flemming and named after his character Vesper Lynd, blends Grey Goose vodka, Tanqueray gin, and the wine aperitif Lillet Blanc – all shaken, not stirred, of course.
“It’s safe to say that the level of alcohol in this martini is equivalent to a double of just about any other cocktail,” cocktail blogger Moody Mixologist points out.
Timberlake told cops he’d had just “one martini” after police pulled him over for allegedly blowing a stop sign, before he refused to take a breathalyzer and reportedly failed a field sobriety test.
