Kanye West has hit a brazen new low, baring his behind during a boat ride with “wife” Bianca Censori on the canals in Venice.
The man who once criticised ex Kim Kardashian for wearing a dress to the Met Gala that was “too revealing”, was captured on camera in what appeared to be an intimate act with Censori kneeling before him — in public at the height of tourist season.
The controversial rapper, who is known as Ye, is pictured with his pants down, with a split in his black jacket exposing his butt crack.
Aboard the boat with the lewd pair were an assistant and the vessel’s skipper.
The incident has added to the fury already following the couple as they tour conservative Italy, where about 75 per cent of the population is Catholic.
Australian architect turned muse Censori has been heavily criticised for her “nude” look, wandering the streets bra-less in a semi-sheer, light-coloured catsuit that left little to the imagination.
It alone sparked calls for her to be charged with public indecency.
It is unknown at this stage whether there will be legal consequences for the latest public outrage in Venice, although there have been calls on social media for Kanye and Censori to be arrested.
“How are these two not arrested for lewd behaviour?” one person commented online.
Another wrote: “Public indecency! Keep it for the privacy of your own home.”.
A third said: “Italian authorities need to arrest them for indecency doing that lewd and disgusting behaviour in public. There are clearly crowds, kids probably saw.”
West, who considers himself a devout Christian, has also shocked onlookers with his clothing choices.
While not considered indecent, they are bizarre. He has been seen fully covered up in black hoodies, black tops and pants, and a black bandanna covering his mouth, despite the sweltering heat.
Earlier this week, he was seen on the street shoeless and carrying an open bottle of champagne.
The pair were reportedly “married” in a non-legally binding ceremony in January, just two months after his divorce from first wife Kardashian was finalised.
Kanye’s latest scandalous act has been greeted with shock but confirms his long history of problematic relationships with women.
Maureen Callahan, in a searing column for the Daily Mail, points out that if it had been Kardashian caught in the act, she would have been “called an unfit mother, a national embarrassment, a slut and a whore”.
Callahan compares the treatment of Kanye to Britney Spears, whose mental illness is still “something the culture scorns”, while Kanye’s is “something the culture finds mesmerising”.
She argues the incident shows he is a misogynist. “He seems to hate the women he’s with and the more they submit to him, the more he seems to resent them,” she writes.
“So add women to the populations Kanye West feels contempt for. May this latest humiliation render him, finally, persona non grata.”
West had his Twitter account suspended late in 2022 after an interview in which he praised Adolf Hitler and made discriminatory comments against the Jewish community. The account was restored a month ago.
