Karnatak University, Dharwad, is collaborating with the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) in New Delhi, along with the Ministry of External Affairs, to host various events on September 12, under the ‘G20 University Connect‘ programme as part of the G20 Summit 2023.
The G20 University Connect programme is a part of the nationwide activities to ignite young minds and engage them in shaping and strengthening global order and governance in the context of addressing international economic issues, says KB Gudasi, the Vice-Chancellor of KU.
The Golden Jubilee Auditorium, Karnatak University will host two special lectures and panel discussions on Tuesday from 10:30 AM onwards. As part of G-20 events, speech competition for UG/PG/Research scholars on the topic, “India’s Presidency of G-20 Countries” was organized on September 09, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Department of Economics, Karnatak University and an essay competition on the topic, “G-20 Action Plan on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” was held on September 09, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the Department of Economics, Karnatak University.
The Vice-Chancellor KB Gudasi will chair the special lecture sessions. GA Tadas, visiting fellow at RIS will speak on ‘G20 India Presidency: Opportunities and Way Forward’ while Prof. Govinda Rao, member of the 14th Finance Commission and former director of National Institute of Public Finance and Policy( NIPFP), New Delhi, will present his views on ‘India’s Presidency of G-20 countries.’
