Unhappy Swifties were left with a blank space during a Friday night showing of Taylor’s Eras Tour Concert Film when it was evacuated.
Moviegoers knew there was trouble when they walked in and a structure fire was reported at Karrinyup Shopping Centre.
Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Concert Film made its Australian premiere on Friday and fans were nothing but ready for it.
The fire was reported to DFES about 7.25pm.
All restaurants, bars, cinemas and stores were cleared out on what would normally be a busy Friday night.
Four sessions of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Concert Film were showing at the Hoyts Cinema when customers were told to evacuate.
Videos posted to social media show hundreds of people streaming outside the venue and into the streets, with not one anti-hero in attendance.
Some ran to escape the cinema, but there was no need to say, you need to calm down, as most seemed unbothered by the emergency.
But there was no bad blood over the interruption as videos showed the Swifties singing along to Taylor’s songs as they waited to be let back inside.
Multiple fire crews from Duncraig, Osborne Park and Peel were in attendance.
