Kosé America appoints Chinae Kim as North America marketing and sales chief

Kosé America announces that effective immediately, Chinae Kim, has been appointed to a newly created role, vice president, Kosé America.

She will report to Takayuki Morimatsu, CEO of Kosé America, Inc. 

Kim will be responsible for leading the Tokyo-based cosmetic company’s marketing and sales efforts in North America, and will oversee a range of initiatives to drive growth in the Kosé America region and for its brands which include Decorté, Sekkisei, and Addiction Tokyo.

She brings over 15 years of brand and marketing experience in the beauty industry with companies that include Amorepacific U.S. and The Estée Lauder Companies.

Most recently, Kim worked at Amorepacific U.S., where she oversaw U.S. marketing for the Sulwhasoo and Amorepacific brands. During her tenure, she launched the sixth generation edition of Sulwhasoo’s hero product, as well as channel expansion, and also launched Laneige in the U.S. in 2014 and Canada in 2015 including in Sephora.

Kosé Corporation was founded in Japan in 1946 by Kozaburo Kobayashi. Today with 13,179 employees, Kosé’s beauty repertoire includes quality skincare, makeup, fragrance, body, and hair care products, steeped in research and innovation, with over 800 registered patents. Its portfolio of 37 brands sell around the world in 68 countries.
