Award-winning actor Lawrence Maleka makes his Netflix debut in romantic comedy film, Lobola Man.

In Lobola Man, Lawrence Maleka portrays the smooth-talker and family wooer Ace Ngubeni, a successful lobola negotiator.
Ace is also a bachelor who questions the very existence of love and finds his perspective challenged when he meets a dazzling woman one night.
He takes on a new client, Duke Maseko played by Sandile Mahlangu who enlists his help with the lobola negotiations.
What starts as a typical job for Ace quickly turns complicated and forces him to confront his own beliefs about love and relationships.
Lobola Man promises a delightful mix of humour, romance, and cultural insights. His portrayal of Ace Ngubeni showcases his ability to blend wit with heartfelt moments, making the character both relatable and entertaining.
The actor and TV presenter is also famously known for his roles in The River and Isibaya.

Lobola Man also stars Sandile Mahlangu as Duke Maseko and Kwanele Mthethwa as his fiancée Zandile while Nimrod Nkosi plays her father.
The film also features Thembsie Matu, Obed Baloyi, Sello Ramolahloane, Themba Ndaba, Sthandile Nkosi and Primo Baloyi.
Lobola Man celebrates love and the cultural significance of lobola with a modern, humorous twist, sure to capture the hearts of audiences everywhere.
The film is created by Burnt Onion Productions and directed by Gomora’s Thabang Moleya.
Viewers are in for a comedic yet poignant exploration of what happens when love and duty collide in this upcoming dramedy.
Lobola Man premiered on Netflix on Friday, 12 July.
