Police are asking for the public’s assistance to help locate a missing 16-year-old girl who was last seen in Perth’s southern suburbs on Friday.

Relatives of missing 16-year-old Lexi Peterson are turning to social media to help the search for their family member who was last seen leaving her home on Beenyup Drive in Banjup at 9pm on Friday.

There are urgent concerns for Lexi’s welfare.

She may be wearing a pink coat or long black puffer jacket.

The teen could be also carrying a black backpack with a brown pocket on the front.

She is described by police as being approximately 170cm tall, with a slim build and blonde hair.

A post by a family member urging the public to keep an eye out said the teen could also be wearing a black or blonde long wig.

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately on 131444.
