Pop queen Lizzo broke down in tears during a concert in Melbourne on Tuesday night after becoming visibly overwhelmed by the love coming from her audience.
The show of emotion during the Special Tour show attracted support from her fan base, who rallied to return the sentiment online.

Video footage of the moment captured by an audience member and posted on Twitter shows the star looking out at an applauding audience, waving and mouthing the words “thank you,” while wiping tears from her face.
She then shook it off, and told the audience: “I’m a gangsta, though.”
Lizzo, who is known for preaching self-love and acceptance onstage, later retweeted the footage with an explanation for the waterworks.
“I had a rough day … and y’all really made me feel loved. Thank you,” she wrote.
Fans rallied behind the star in the comments section of the post, which was viewed more than 650,000 times in less than 24 hours.
“This is gonna make me cry,” one fan wrote.
“Your kindness, energy, positivity, and music always makes us feel loved when we’re having a rough day,” another wrote.
“You make us feel loved,” another wrote.
“I like my celebrities NORMAL!” another wrote.

It’s not the first time an emotional display by Lizzo has moved her audience. Her habit of bringing young girls onto the stage to meet her is known to send audiences wild.
She shared a picture of one of these special moments on Instagram, with the caption: “Everything I do is for HER”.
One fan who had been at the concert said the moment made her cry.
“This moment brought me to tears, was amazing to witness,” she wrote.
“In that moment, that little girl saw herself in you and vice versa,” noted another.
The mother of the young girl Lizzo had hugged on stage later took to Instagram to thank the pop star.
“This is my daughter,” she wrote. “Thank you so much.
“This is all she can talk about.”
