International megastar Lizzo touched down in Australia on Tuesday night.
And now she has shared some happy snaps of her plane ride from Amsterdam to Perth.
The About Damn Time hitmaker, real name Melissa Viviane Jefferson, took to Instagram on Wednesday night to show fans how she spent her time on the 19-hour Emirates flight — and boy was she pampered.
Her photo carousel included pictures of her in a face mask, watching the movie Cocaine Bear, and enjoying a couple of inflight beverages. Peak self-care.
“Amsterdam ✈️ Perth,” she captioned the post.
The photos were met with excitement from fans ahead of her show at RAC Arena on Friday night.
“Welcome to Perth Queen, see you on Friday ❤️,” former entertainment reporter Rangi Hirini commented.
“Welcome to Perth. Can’t wait for the show,” another wrote.
Jetting in from her European shows, Lizzo chose to kick off her Australian tour in Perth.
Fans will be waiting to see if she whips out her famous flute during the performance.
Speaking about her prized instrument she said: “I’ve always had a passion for music as a kid, growing up in church; however, I did not sing, and I did not play any instruments. I just loved music.”
“When I joined my intermediate school in Houston, we had an incredible band director and he would make band fun. He made band cool, and everyone wanted to be in band because of this one person, which there’s the band nerd trope and all of that. It’s like he made it.”
“You don’t even think about that. All the cool kids wanted to be in band because of this particular teacher. So by fate, I was in that room, and when they asked who wants to do flute, or who should play flute, I was chosen out of everybody.”
