From the best lookout point to the venue with the best sausage roll — a host of West Aussie attractions have been named as finalists for a national travel award.
Travel company Wotif announced its 2024 Uniquely Aussie Awards, with Perth and some of WA’s regional cities named as finalists.
From Kalbarri to Albany, it seems the people have spoken, voting on where they think is the best lookout point, best sausage roll and best regional museum.
With 47 per cent of Australians planning to travel over the spring and summer holidays and one in six planning to visit WA this year, the awards couldn’t come at a better time, providing a guide to the best local gems nationwide.
While WA businesses missed out on an award, these venues were named among the best in the country.
Wotif travel expert Rebecca Hurley said: “The Uniquely Aussie Awards are about celebrating and spotlighting some of the country’s unique gems and as Aussies head into the spring and summer travel period, aims to serve as inspiration for local getaways.
“With thousands of entries across the six categories, the awards show Aussies are eager to share their local travel favourites.
“However, it is the classic sausage roll which caused the most debate, earning the title of the most voted category by Aussies.”
