Logies host Sam Pang had the audience in stitches as he opened up the 63rd TV Week Logie Awards by taking a few pot-shots at Aussie TV veterans.
Pang, the first person to host the Logies solo in 11 years, didn’t hold back as he worked the room with a mix of hilarious jokes and deadpan roasts.

No one was spared, including former Sunrise co-host David Koch, who recently stepped down from the role after 21 years.
“There’s no doubting you changed breakfast television forever,” Sam began.
“Warmth, humour, personality … you needed none of those.
“What a marvel you are, sir.
“Well done!”
Fortunately, Kochie took it all in good stead, with cameras panning to show him laughing.
“The world of television moves on quickly,” Sam added.
“Kochie’s only here tonight because he’s Larry Emdur’s plus-one!”
The cameras then panned across to Edwina Bartholomew laughing loudly and Kochie pointing at Emdur and pulling a grimace.
Sam was just getting started with the celebrity roast — but Kochie didn’t seem to mind having fun poked at him.
