Rebecca Hessel Cohen looked to today’s biggest social media fashion trends as inspiration for LoveShackFancy’s resort 2025 collection.
“It’s mermaidcore meets balletcore meets coquettecore,” she explained. “If you’re a girly girl, we love you.”
These inspirations were depicted through a whimsical collection that balanced party vibes with ethereal silhouettes, something LoveShackFancy has become known for since its inception.
Mermaidcore styles were seen through feminine silhouettes like a purple paillette-embellished cocktail dress and a tiered silk slipdress embellished with bows. The balletcore styles continued this ethereal feel, with many styles designed in a blush pink hue with lace and sheer details. The styles fit in with the feminine DNA of the brand and showed Hessel Cohen’s knack for updating core silhouettes in fresh ways.
Bows and frilly details were a central motif like past seasons and were included on standout styles like a pink velvet minidress with crystal-embellished bows and a black floor-length lace dress with pink ombré bows.
“Our girls love to dress up, go to holiday parties and be the star of the show,” Hessel Cohen said. “They’re ready to go out.”
To tap into the holiday season, LoveShackFancy delivered styles in red and green hues, which was a first for the pink-obsessed label. Hessel Cohen updated core styles, like the brand’s best-selling Rialto ruffled dress, which will come in a solid red as well as red and green tartan prints.
LoveShackFancy balanced the more party styles with some of their signatures, such as sweaters, cardigans and coats. There were new chunky knits, all of which were embellished with bow ribbons, as well as the brand’s own take on a Fair Isle sweater.
Matching sets are another key focus for resort, offering more sophisticated styles like tweed sets in black and pink, as well as more casual options such as a bead-embellished cardigan and matching midi skirt.
The resort 2025 collection coincides with the release of LoveShackFancy’s latest fragrance, Endless Dreams, which is the brand’s fourth scent.
The collection showed Hessel Cohen’s understanding of her ultra-feminine customer and how to interpret buzzy fashion trends in a timeless and elegant way.
