What happens following the MH CET law result declaration?
Merit list preparation: After the MH CET Law results are declared, the State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), Maharashtra, prepares a merit list based on candidates’ performance in the entrance exam, considering factors like category, domicile, and home university.
Counseling schedule announcement: The CET Cell then releases the counseling schedule, detailing the dates for registration, document verification, and seat allotment.
Registration for counseling: Eligible candidates must complete the online registration form and pay the required fees to register for the counseling process.
Document verification: Registered candidates must attend document verification centers to have their original documents verified, ensuring their authenticity and eligibility for counseling.
Choice filling and seat allotment: Candidates fill out their preferred college choices based on their MH CET Law rank and preferences. The CET Cell conducts multiple rounds of seat allotment, assigning seats to candidates based on their merit rank and college choices.
Admission confirmation: Candidates who secure a seat in a particular college must report to the college to complete the admission formalities, including paying the admission fees and submitting the required documents.
If a candidate does not get their preferred college or program in the first round, they may have the opportunity to participate in subsequent rounds of counseling, where any remaining/vacant seats are filled.
Additionally, if a candidate decides to withdraw from the counseling process, they can follow the withdrawal procedure mentioned on the information bulletin, and the official website. Refunds of counseling fees, if applicable, will be processed according to the guidelines.
