Maharashtra Board Class X and XII Exams to Start 8-10 Days Earlier in 2025

Maharashtra State Board Exam Dates for 2024-2025: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has advanced the dates for the Class X and XII board exams for the academic year 2024-25. The board exams will take place 8-10 days earlier than in previous years.
For Class XII (Higher Secondary Certificate) and Higher Secondary Vocational Course exams, the written exams are scheduled from Tuesday, February 11, 2025, to Tuesday, March 18, 2025.The practical, oral, and internal assessments will be conducted from Friday, January 24, 2025, to Monday, February 10, 2025. The Class X (Secondary School Certificate, SSC) exams will occur between Friday, February 21, 2025, and Monday, March 17, 2025, with practical and internal assessments taking place from Monday, February 3, 2025, to Thursday, February 20, 2025.

“Traditionally, the HSC exams start in the third week of February, while the SSC exams begin in the first week of March. Results are typically announced online by the end of May or the first week of June. The board has advanced the exam schedule to ensure a smoother admission process for the next academic year, provide students with ample time to prepare for entrance exams, and expedite the supplementary exams and results for students needing retakes or grade improvements,” said Sharad Gosavi, chairman of the state board.
“To help reduce student stress, the board has released the exam dates well in advance. Detailed subject schedules for practical tests, oral exams, internal assessments, and written exams will be announced separately on the Board’s website. Any objections or suggestions regarding the announced dates should be emailed to [email protected] before Friday, August 23, 2024,” said Anuradha Oak, the secretary of the state board.
