Maisie Wilen Fall 2024 Ready-to-wear Runway, Fashion Show & Collection Review

Maisie Wilen founder Maisie Schloss might be known for her exploration of digital culture, but she is putting down technology and looking offline for fall 2024, lead by her customer’s evolution. “As Maisie Wilen enters its fifth year, I see a customer who is personally growing alongside the brand and looking for strong daywear staples with huge versatility,” Schloss explained via email. “I looked closely to the brand’s core ethos, to make basics for maximalists, and considered what exactly is needed and wanted at this time.”

Take, for example, her prints, a brand staple and generally based in a digital world. Fall saw her contrast this “through lighthearted and natural imagery” on featherweight jersey dresses with color saturated or simple flowers.

A tight 13-look collection shown via look book, Wilen wanted to highlight silhouettes “that feel extremely versatile while maintaining a sense of excitement through bold print and textile use.” A colorful mohair oversize sweater anchored with a chocolate brown workwear-style raver pant and a black-and-white bodysuit with an eye print were standouts.
