Medical office project in San Jose reaches key city approval milestone

SAN JOSE — A new medical office building project in San Jose is headed for a key city approval milestone, a potential sign that the health care sector remains robust despite an uncertain Bay Area office market.

The office building would be built at 2512 Samaritan Court in southwest San Jose, according to plans on file with city officials.

The building is part of a larger redevelopment of parcels next to Good Samaritan Hospital that would replace several older structures. Cilker Henderson Properties, a real estate firm, has proposed the project.

One of the buildings in the project was completed in 2023 and is located at 2506 Samaritan Court. This new medical office building totals 69,000 square feet.

The latest segment of the project is being considered at a city Planning Director’s hearing this week.
