Meet Keiona Revlon, A Queen That’s Taking Reality TV By Storm

Keiona Revlon is an Ivorian French queen and one of many contestants competing on Drag Race France, but she didn’t come to play, she came to slay.

Known for being a mother in the international house of Revlon, Keiona is no stranger to reality tv. While many fans have fallen in love with her stellar performances on season 2 of Drag Race France, others may recognize her from her time on another reality tv show that centered on the LGBT+ community, the previously aired third season of HBO Max’s, now MAX, ‘Legendary.’ The only other queen in all of Drag Race to accomplish such a feat is Aja 007, of Drag Race season 9 and All Stars 3, where she competed alongside Keiona as a mother of the House of LaBeija.

On Legendary, a show that emphasized and brought different ballroom houses to battle on a reality tv competition, Keiona slayed where her fellow members in the Parisian chapter of the House of Revlon, where they eventually made it all the way to the semi-finals where they finished in third place.

In the 5 episodes that have aired in Drag Race France, Keiona has placed high in every single one thus far and has even managed to snag a win in the latest episode, where she gave a compelling performance in this season’s Rusical and with her self-titled “Disco Diva Xtravaganza” runway that she delivered. With one win under her belt and four placements at the top of the competition, Keiona continues to show the judges, the cast, and fans alike, just how formidable she is.\

Something else that Keiona brings to the Drag Race table is her ability to vogue, which fans have seen many queens attempt throughout the Drag Race franchise’s many different iterations. Fans have seen many queens attempt to engage in the five elements of vogue, the elements being hand performance, floor performance, duckwalking, catwalk, and spins and dips.

Many queens on different seasons and shows have been able to do a few of the elements on their own, but few have ever been able to bring all five in tandem to the mainstage of Drag Race, so much so that the term “noguing,” coined to describe a poor attempt at voguing, has often been used by members of ballroom to address the phenomenon. It’s safe to say that Keiona, a house mother, a member of the Kiki scene, and a 3rd runner-up on ‘Legendary’ will not share the same fate that many of her sisters have. One can’t help but pray for any contestant that ends up at the bottom with her, should that episode ever come to pass.

Drag Race France offers a somewhat refreshing approach to the series, where the show once again feels as if it could truly be anyone’s game, something that fans have often complained about concerning the American seasons of the show, and Keiona is absolutely one queen that is fighting, across shows, to make her mark and solidify her place at the top of the competition. She’s definitely one to look out for, regardless of if she wins, especially with Drag Race incorporating international queens into their All Stars and Vs the World seasons.
