Legendary Spice Girl Mel B has spilt the beans on her upcoming wedding, revealing a very special friend is set to design her dress.
Mel B, or “Scary Spice” to her millions of fans, told 2DAY FM’s Hughesy, Ed and Erin breakfast show that fellow Spice Girl Victoria Beckham would design her dress for the nuptials.
But exactly how many dresses she will take up when she says “I do” to hairdresser Rory McPhee is unclear.
She joked with Dave “Hughesy” Hughes and the crew that she would have a “two-week wedding” with many different dresses.
“Once I get the dates, then I’ll go wedding dress shopping,” she said.
The singer is also set to tie the knot in London’s famous St Paul’s Cathedral, the same church where Princess Diana and now King Charles were wed.
Mel B is an MBE, or Member of the Order of the British Empire, which means she can get married in the domed Christopher Wren-designed cathedral, located in the heart of the city.
“I’m going to do it properly, by the book, in church and all that malarkey,” she said, adding that she had put in her forms to St Paul’s and was now waiting to hear back.
Hughes, who is set to co-host the next season of the popular Masked Singer television show, has scored an invite to the wedding.
“I really like your wife, she is such a lovely person,” Mel B said.
Mel B also spoke about how she had changed her lifestyle, looking to be more “healthy and serene” and embrace the rising sun.
“I try to embrace it (the sunrise) as much as possible daily,” she said.
“I try and say, ‘Thank you I’m still alive’.”
