Meryl Streep’s youngest daughter Louisa Jacobson has announced that she is in her “joyful era” after debuting her girlfriend on social media.
The 33-year-old actor took to Instagram at the weekend sharing several photos of her and producer girlfriend Anna Blundell with the caption: “Blessed to be entering the Joyful New Era bb ❤️🔥🏳️🌈.”
One of the photos featured an article with the headline: “We’re Entering a Joyful New Era of Lesbian Fashion.”
Another photo showed “a Victorian painting which centres (the poet) Sappho’s love for women”.
Jacobson, known for her role in the HBO period drama series The Gilded Age, came out on Streep’s 75th birthday on June 22.
Fellow stars and friends took to the comments with happy messages for the couple.
Influencer Sky Maddas said: “COMING OUT AT YOUR MOM’S BIRTHDAY IS SO ICONIC 🔥🏳️🌈👩🏼❤️💋👩🏼”
West Side Story actor Ariana DeBose, who is openly gay, also gushed, “LIVE queen!”
Jacobson, who graduated from the Yale School of Drama with a Master of Fine Arts in acting, is Streep and her estranged husband Don Gummer’s youngest child.
The pair also share son Henry Wolfe, 44, and daughters Mamie Gummer, 40, and Grace Ronson, 38.
They are grandparents to five grandchildren.
In October 2023, Streep and Gummer, who married in September 1978, had been “separated for more than six years”, Page Six revealed.
“While they will always care for each other, they have chosen lives apart,” a source said at the time.
The former couple were last seen together at the 2018 Academy Awards.
