It was a slow start, but Missouri football finished its 11-win season with a win in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl on Saturday night in Arlington, Texas, with an impressive win against No. 7 Ohio State with a score of 14-3.
The Tigers (11-2, 6-2 SEC) overcame a scoreless first half and won the game despite initially trailing 3-0 after the first half.

Ohio State had a promising lead of 3-0 against the Tigers (11-2, 8-1 Big Ten) going into the second half. However, Missouri came back with back-to-back touchdown drives to secure the victory.
Sixth-year senior running back consensus All-American Cody Schrader broke the Tigers’ single-season record for rushing yards, with a total of 128 yards on 29 carries. Quarterback Brady Cook, who was named Offensive MVP of the game, contributed 6 yards on 19 carries and completed 11 of 18 passes, including a touchdown pass.
The Tigers found themselves down 3-0 against the Buckeyes. However, they regrouped and manufactured back-to-back touchdown drives of more than 90 yards to secure the victory.
For a quarter, Missouri was held without a score. With perseverance, the Tigers worked hard and managed two touchdowns back-to-back to turn the game around.
The game ended with Missouri leading the Buckeyes 14-3 in the Cotton Bowl.
