A BRAZEN Scots fly tipper was confronted by a man after claiming he was leaving the huge pile of rubbish “for an old wife”.
An unnamed passerby confronted the man at Pitreavie Business Park, Fife, yesterday after spotting him leaving a pile of discarded items in the car park.
After being questioned over what he was up to, the bald man claimed he was just leaving the junk aside for an old woman whose house had caught fire.
Footage shows the dumper with what looks like an accomplice emptying items out the back of a parked van near a skip in the car park.
The fly tippers were seen carrying larger items, furniture and bin bags full of rubbish into the skips, leaving the rest of the junk on the floor.
The two men then appear to make an escape as they dump the last of their rubbish into the car park and hop back into the van.
The man recording the fly tippers then stops them as they slowly drive towards him, shouting: “You canny (sic) just dump stuff, mate.”
The fly tipper, hearing the man’s protest from inside his van, exits the vehicle and comes around the front of the van to confront the good Samaritan.
The filmer once again says: “You canny (sic) just dump stuff like that. The taxpayer has to pay for that”.
The dumper then attempts to explain himself, protesting: “I’m putting it there for an old wife.”

The cameraman doubts the fly tipper’s tale though, and sceptically asks: “An old wifey?”
The fly tipper then doubles down: “Aye (sic), because her house got burned down.”
The cameraman, not prepared to let the fly tipper away with it, says: “Doesn’t matter. You just go to the [tip].”
The fly tipper again makes excuses saying: “I can’t get into the [tip] yet.”
The cameraman stands firm though, saying: “Well the council do f***ing pick ups from the kerb-side. That’s not where you dump it mate.”
The fly tipper continues with his flimsy excuses before the video ends.
The footage of the confrontation was shared to social media captioned with: “Pitreavie industrial estate 13.10 25/424. Dumpers confronted.”
It has since gained over 400 likes and more than 150 comments from social media users left appalled at the fly tipper’s actions.
One user said: “That’s the cleanest cream leather sofa I’ve ever seen come out a house fire, hardly any soot, smoke or fire damage at all.
“If she was wanting rid of it, she should have just set fire to the house a second time and save paying someone to fly tip it.”
Another added: “Pass onto Fife Council, there’s a fine for him waiting I bet.”
A third wrote: “What a hero. ’I’m dumping stuff for an old wife’.

“Caught and tries to make out he’s okay doing it. Someone dump it back at his door.”
Another replied: “I’d hand the film and reg over to the police. See how he can wiggle out of that.”
