Moroka Swallows have offered a helping hand to Mamelodi Sundowns in order to ease their hectic fixture schedule this season.

Sundowns are involved in three different competitions namely, the DStv Premiership, CAF Champions League and the African Football League.

Now, the African Football League is underway, and Sundowns are in the semi-finals where they will play Al Ahly over two legs.

The first leg on Sunday, 29 October clashes with the league fixture against Swallows, but the Soweto giants have agreed to postpone the match.

And that’s to allow Sundowns to pay the AFL match after the league had shown no interest in accommodating their continental schedule.

“According to information gathered by SABC Sport, the Dube Birds were never opposed to assisting Downs in managing their demanding calendar even when the Premier Soccer League (PSL) hierarchy was opposed to the launch of the AFL, citing a lack of information about the competition,” reads part of SABC Sport‘s report.
