The Board in a post on the social media platform X, tweeted, “The results of the Class 5th and 8th Board Pattern Exams will be announced on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.Approximately 24 lakh children participated in these exams, with over 12 lakh from Class 5 and 11 lakh from Class 8.”
This year, the board held the class 8 exams on pen and paper between March 6 and March 14, in the morning shift from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for 2 hours and 30 minutes. Nearly 24 lakh children took part, including over 12 lakh from class 5 and more than 11 lakh from class 8.

Overview of MP Board class 5th & 8th exam 2023
Last year, the MP Board results were released on May 15 for exams taken between March 23 and April 1, and earlier on May 13 for exams taken between April 1 and April 9.
In 2023, 10,66,405 students took the Class 8 exams, with 8,11,433 qualifying. The overall pass percentage was 76.09%. Girls outperformed boys, with a pass rate of 78.86% versus 73.46% for boys.
Students will be able to request photocopies of their answer booklets and OMR sheets. Following the announcement of the Class 8 results, students who did not pass will be able to take the MP Board compartment exams. Details about the compartmental exams will be provided after the results are announced.
