Italian label MSGM is planning to go back to its roots next month as it celebrates its 15th year in business. It’s taking the opportunity of Milan Fashion Week Men’s to offer up a co-ed collection combo.
The company said that “on the occasion of Milan Fashion Week Men’s Spring Summer 25, on June 15th, MSGM will present both Men’s Spring/Summer 25 and Women’s Resort 25 collections in a co-ed runway show to celebrate the brand’s 15th anniversary”.
This comes after founder and creative director Massimo Giorgetti had debuted the label with a combined offer a decade-and-a-half-ago.
“In June 2009, I presented the first MSGM men’s collection alongside the women’s resort. I would like to celebrate that memory and recreate the same energy,” he said of his latest plans.
MSGM kept its menswear and womenswear distinctly separate for the previous season with womenswear shown during Milan Fashion Week back in February and the menswear collection unveiled at the men’s event the previous month.
But the June timing is good as interest in women’s resort/cruise collections rides high with some of European fashion’s mega labels generating buzz via a series of ‘location’ shows, the most recent being this week’s Gucci show and the earlier Chanel event.
