Big four bank NAB has been struck by major outages for the second time in two months, with customers reporting problems with internet and mobile services.
User reports made to Downdetector surged about 4pm (AEST) on Thursday, with more than 1200 complaints made.
Customers have also taken to social media to air problems with their services.
One customer said the institution’s app was having problems loading account balances on its home screen, while another pondered whether NAB’s internet banking had “been hacked”.
“Asking for a new version of online banking but won’t work,” they said on X, formerly Twitter.
A third said: “Hey, looks like your mobile banking is having issues.”
A fourth said internet banking was “really slow to login” and once in they are “immediately thrown out”.
NAB told one customer “we are currently experiencing technical difficulties”.
“We will have the app back up as soon as possible,” the bank representative said, with the customer replying that “internet banking (is) down as well”.
NAB told 7NEWS.com.au it is aware of an issue impacting its mobile app and desktop banking.
“We’re sorry for any inconvenience this is causing our customers,” the spokesperson said.
“Our tech team is currently investigating and working to fix this as soon as possible. We are continuing to keep our customers updated.”
NAB was struck by major issues at the start of July, with users locked out of accessing their accounts for several hours.
