Suzanna has been working at Sunrise for 22 years.

“We are wishing good luck to Suzanna who has been rolling our autocue for more than 20 years. And she’s leaving us,” Barr said.

“Whether it’s here in the studio or out in the field… all those memories. She’s been with us on so many occasions and done such an amazing job.”

“You are invaluable. We don’t like the fact that you’re leaving, but we have to let you go.”

The exit comes just weeks after former host David Koch announced he was leaving the breakfast program after 21 years on-air.

Kochie, 67, stepped away from the job as the longest-serving breakfast television host in Australian history, having broadcast a record 16,000 hours of live TV across more than 5300 shows and some 50,000 interviews.

He was replaced by Shirvington, already known to viewers as a fill-in host on Fridays.

The 44-year-old competed in the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games as a sprinter and remains the third-fastest Australian sprinter of all time.
