NEET UG 2024: The National Testing Agency is set to conclude the registration window for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate courses (NEET UG) 2024 tomorrow, i.e March 9, 2024 – 9PM. Candidates will be able to register themselves by filling the online proforma available on the official website of NEET UG 2024 at exams.nta.ac.in/NEET.
The NEET UG 2024 exam is scheduled to take place on May 5, 2024 and the results are expected to be declared on June 14, 2024.The exam will be held for a duration of three hours and 20 minutes (200 minutes), and will run from 2 PM to 5:20 PM.
NEET UG 2024: Eligibility
To be eligible for the NEET UG 2024, candidates must meet certain criteria. First and foremost, they must be at least 17 years old at the time of admission or will reach that age by December 31 of the admission year.
Candidates must have completed Class 12 or an equivalent exam from a recognised board. Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are among the required subjects, with English serving as a prerequisite.
Furthermore, the minimum marks required for Class 12 vary according to the applicant’s category. For those in the General Category, a minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined is required. However, candidates in the SC/ST/OBC-NCL categories must meet a slightly lower minimum requirement of 40% aggregate marks in the same subjects.

The NTA has revised the NEET 2024 syllabus in comparison to previous years. Certain topics have been dropped, including Rotational Motion and Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism. The syllabus has been further streamlined, with topics such as Solid State and some p-Block Elements removed. Furthermore, specific topics, such as Digestion and Absorption, have been removed from the NEET Biology syllabus in 2024.
