The Medical Counselling Committee, (MCC) under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) will begin the first round of counselling registrations for National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 today. The NEET UG counselling registrations will close on August 20, 2024. The counselling is being conducted for 15% of All India Quota (AIQ) MBBS and BDS seats.

NEET UG Counselling 2024: Seat Matrix

The counselling process will be conducted for 1,09,145 MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) seats and 27,868 Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) seats. Additionally, approximately 1,000 BSc Nursing seats will be distributed through NEET counselling, along with numerous seats in AYUSH and veterinary programs across India.

NEET UG Counselling 2024: Important Dates

The choice filling window for round 1 will be open from August 16 to August 20, until 11:55 PM. The option to lock in preferences will be available starting at 4 PM on August 20. The seat allotment for round 1 will be processed between August 21 and August 22, 2024.
The results for the first allotment of round 1 will be announced on August 23, 2024. Candidates must report to their allotted colleges between August 24 and August 29. Institutes will verify the data of joined candidates, and MCC will share this data between August 30 and August 31, 2024.
