It seems like Netflix has a surprise in store for fans of two of its biggest high school thriller shows, South African- produced Blood & Water and Spanish- produced Elite.

Which characters are part of the crossover
The shows which can be seen as being very similar in a way as they are both thrillers that are set in a high school setting. The crossover is set to feature two very different characters from both shows. One is a lead character on their show whilst the other one can be seen as a supporting actor.
The representative from Parkhurst High will be Fikile Bhele (played by Khosi Ngema) who is a co-lead on Blood & Water alongside Puleng Khumalo (played by Ama Qamata). The character that will be arriving onto our local shores from Las Encinas is Ivan (played by Andre Lamoglia).

What is the crossover storyline
The storyline that will follow the crossover has not yet been released, but according to the clip that was shared on Instagram, it seems that Fikile will interact with some of the students from Las Encinas. There is a similar clip where Ivan is seen at Parkhurst High, where he is welcomed by Fikile.
The statements from the producers
The production teams from both shows have been very quiet about the crossover. There have been statements, according to TshisaLive, that have been released from the two shows.

The producer of Blood & Water co-producer, Nosipho Dumisa- Ngoasheng, stated “The exchange gave a boost to cast, characters and creators.”. The Elite co-creator and showrunner Jaime Vaca stated that, “ Both shows being set in the world of private schools made writing the crossover scenes easier”.
Blood & Water will return in 2024 and Elite will be available to stream on Netflix from 20 October.
