Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Richard Ofori has been in included in the Ghana squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to be held in the Ivory Coast.

The Black Stars are looking for a fifth AFCON title.

Ofori has been named alongside fellow goalkeepers Joseph Wollacott and Lawrence Ati Zigi, who play for Hibernian and FC St. Gallen, respectively.
Ofori’s selection comes as something as a surprise, with the 30-year-old playing just three times, in the CAF Champions League, for the Buccaneers this season.

He started the last two matches for Ghana and will be making his fourth appearance at an AFCON tournament.
Ghana have been drawn in Group B at the tournament alongside Egypt, Mozambique and Cape Verde.

The tournament kicks off on 13 January and will conclude on 11 February.
