EVERYONE loves to be part of the in crowd, and that includes being able to play highly-anticipated games early.
Not only will you be able to play it before a release date has been announced, but it is also free to try out.
Supergiant Games is launching a sequel to the hugely popular roguelike Hades that is fittingly called Hades 2.
The sequel will be released with the help of players, as a technical playtest will allow people to play early and give their feedback on improvements.
If you want to try Hades 2 before the game is released and for free then there are a couple of steps you will need to take.
The playtest is only available to Steam users, even though like the original game, Hades 2 will see a full release on multiple platforms.
Firstly, you will need to head over to the Hades 2 Steam page and make sure that you are signed into your Steam account.
You can then click ‘Request Access’ and if you are chosen to take part in the playtest you will receive an email.
It’s important that you continually check your spam folder to ensure your best chance of getting a spot.
The playtest will be available for “longer than a week, and shorter than a month” so you will have plenty of time to dive in.
There will be a limited amount of content in the playtest, and it will only contain the first area of the game.
The save data will not move over to the full game when it is released so you don’t have to worry about completing the test.
You won’t need a high-end gaming PC if you want to play it as it’s in a top down 2D game.
However, you should check the specifications on the Store Page before signing up just in case.
