Bafana Bafana forward Percy Tau is confident that the team is well prepared for their opening African Cup of Nations game against Mali.
Bafana are looking for a positive start to the tournament and Tau is one of the few players in the squad that has played in an Afcon before.

“We are looking forward to the game. The pitch is great, we saw it. We are playing against a difficult side,” Tau said on Monday as per Times Live.
“Our group is difficult because we are playing Namibia and Tunisia also. We are looking forward to those matches. We believe in ourselves, we are not overconfident, we are grounded. But that doesn’t take away that we believe we can do something special.

Tau believes Bafana can do something special
“We want to do something special and that’s the bottom line.”
Tau is approaching 30 this year and it could be his last tournament where he’s playing at his peak. He is currently leading the fromt line that consists of the likes of Zakhele Lepasa and Evidence Makgopa.

Bafana coach Hugo Broos, said to do well in Afcon you need to make a strong start.
““Everybody is happy that we are one day before the game. You know there’s always the preparation, but you are looking forward to playing,” he said.
