Peso Pluma, Daft Punk and More to Do Apparel Capsules for Spotify – WWD

Spotify is getting into the merch business.

The digital music service is working with some of its most popular artists to produce capsule collections. The collection launched last week with Mexican singer, songwriter and rapper Peso Pluma in honor of the holiday Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead.

On Tuesday, the offering will expand to Daft Punk in honor of the 10th anniversary of their album “Random Access Memories.”

The Peso Pluma collection includes a Catrinas hoodie, a Calacas Bailando long-sleeve T-shirt, a Nueva Vida T in cotton jersey and a Calavera bandana. The collection is being sold on the Spotify site and ranges in price from $20 for the bandana to $120 for the hoodie.

“Spotify has always supported my music, since Day One, so it made sense to align with them,” said Peso Pluma. “I use these capsule items in my day-to-day so I want my fans to have them as well. They have a special meaning to Mexican culture.”

The Daft Punk capsule will include a logo T, a hoodie and crystal logo clock.

Others artists that will be featured in the future include Tyler, the Creator, Tems and Rosalía.
