“What do you want to do when you grow up?” The slightly rhetorical question comes from fashion brand Pinko and harks back to all who used to dream of being ballerinas.

And that’s the central theme to the new Pinko Reimagine collection for the SS24 season “created precisely from this dream”.
Designed jointly by Patrick McDowell and Caterina Negra, “it is a true pas de deux, danced on the tiptoes of the imagination, to the growing rhythm of increasing responsibility in the fashion world”, we’re told.
Comprising pink ballet ribbons, organic cotton tulle, fabrics recovered from the Pinko archive and a new bow print, the Reimagine capsulecollection “combines sustainability and total originality, with a wardrobe made up of pieces created to enhance the uniqueness of the wearer”.
“Must-haves” in the collection include a shiny bomber jacket, fitted blazer, wide-leg trousers, tulle skirt and workwear suit.
With this capsule collection, the Pinko Reimagine project is back to its true essence through the brand’s ongoing story of ‘Fearless Beauty’, “a real ode to dance, written by a group of dancers [Camilla, Johara, Alice, Pietro and Corinne] who embody the vibrant and inclusive spirit of the collection”.
The capsule is underpinned by a “commitment to an environment in which everyone feels seen and recognised, to express themselves freely”.
The SS24 collection follows on from Pinko’s AW23 launch which included a campaign featuring British model Georgia May Jagger.
