On Monday, 12 February, Johannesburg residents in several Randburg areas will experience a planned power outage from 8:00 to 16:00.
The interruption will affect various suburbs near the Randburg Substation, including Boskruin, Broskruin Ext. 10, Bromhof Ext. 02, 16, 18, 19, 31, 36, 37, and 38, Ferndale, Ferndale Ext. 03 and 04, Malanshof Ext. 06, Northwpld Ext. 04, Randparkrif Ext. 53, and Strijdompark Ext. 01, 02, 07, 09, 12, 13, 16, 17, and 27.

The planned power outage in Johannesburg is necessary
The utility company assures residents that the planned outage is necessary to minimise the risk of unexpected power failures in the future.
“The interruption is necessary to do essential maintenance work on our network which is part of our program of constantly striving to provide a better service,” said City Power.

Although the supply could be restored at any time, customers should treat their electricity supply points as live to avoid accidents.
