Police attempt to arrest Nicki Minaj in Amsterdam for allegedly carrying drugs: ‘I’m not going there’

Authorities at the Amsterdam airport attempted to arrest rapper Nicki Minaj for supposed drug possession, despite the artist’s repeated insistence that she was not carrying any contraband.

One official said that they wanted to take the”Super Bass” songstress into custody for “carrying drugs,” according to Instagram Live footage Minaj shared Saturday.

“I’m not going in there. I need a lawyer present,” the 41-year-old replied.

After some back-and-forth, Minaj appeared to step into the police vehicle – but not without asking about whether she would make her upcoming concert in Manchester, England.

The officer said someone would “try to get [her] there” as soon as possible.

It was not immediately clear if Minaj – who is currently on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour – was actually booked at a police station.

“Now they said they found weed & that another group of ppl have to come here to weigh the pre-rolls,” Minaj wrote on X around 10:30 a.m. ET.

“Keep in mind they took my bags without consent. My security has already advised them those pre-rolls belong to him. Oh yea & the pilot wants me to take my ig post down,” she added.

The rapper went on to lament that her plane was being held up by at least two hours.

Her last update — shared shortly before 11 a.m. ET — said the police were asking for her to make a statement at a police precinct.
