Cheers rang out at One Washington Square this week as San Jose State University held 10 commencement ceremonies for the Class of 2024, conferring diplomas on 7,600 undergraduate and graduate students.
The 36,000-student university is the founding school in the California State University system, and its alumni number in the hundreds of thousands.
This week’s graduates included the first 10 students to receive Doctorate of Audiology degrees and the first four graduates of SJSU Online’s economics program.
Wednesday’s honorees were from the Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering and the Connie L. Lurie College of Education and College of Professional and Global Education. Receiving diplomas Thursday were graduates of the College of Social Sciences, the College of Health and Human Sciences and the College of Science. And on Friday, the grads of the Lucas College and Graduate School of Business and the College of Humanities and the Arts will get their turn.
