Two different roads have led to the AFC Championship Game.
While the Kansas City Chiefs took down the Buffalo Bills in a grueling slugfest that came down to the wire, the Baltimore Ravens waltzed into the AFC Championship with a 34-10 victory over the Houston Texans.
Baltimore has looked like the best team in the NFL for most of the season at this point. Every test they’ve faced, they’ve passed with flying colors. As great as Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is, it will take a massive effort for the Chiefs to return to the Super Bowl for the second consecutive season.
Here are some predictions for Sunday’s AFC Championship contest.

Chiefs vs. Ravens predictions
Sporting News: Ravens 27, Chiefs 24
Bill Bender writes, “The Chiefs are 9-3-1 ATS as an underdog during this six-year run. The Ravens are 6-0 ATS and 6-0 S/U when favored by four points or less this season. [Patrick] Mahomes just continues to find ways to get it done in the postseason. That said, the Ravens were our pick when the playoffs started. We’ll stick with it knowing the Chiefs can blow that plan up.
Action Network: Lay the points for Baltimore at home
Ricky Henne writes, “The Chiefs have had to rely on their defense, but it was troublesome to see how they fared Sunday against the run. The Bills averaged 4.7 yards per carry and gashed them for 182 yards. Buffalo boasts one of the league’s top rushing attacks, ranking seventh in both yards (130.1) and DVOA. However, that’s nothing compared to the Ravens, who led the league in yards (156.5) and DVOA.”
ESPN: Ravens have the home-field advantage edge to win AFC
ESPN Analytics give Baltimore a 63.6% chance to take the conference championship victory at home. The Chiefs have a 36.4% chance to win their second straight AFC title according to the same model.
