Proteas fast bowler Lungi Ngidi has been ruled out of the T20I series following an injury he sustained.
The 27-year-old will miss the three-match KFC T20I series against India due to a left lateral ankle sprain.

He was released from the Proteas squad and will return to the Momentum Multiply Titans where he will undergo his rehabilitation under the supervision of the Proteas medical team.
Proteas to be without Rabada, Ngidi and Bavuma
Ngidi was supposed to play in the T20 and ODI series in preparation for the two-match Betway Test series but will instead be further assessed by the medical team on his progress.

Western Province fast bowler Beuran Hendricks has been named as his replacement.
The first match in the T20 series takes place at Kingsmead in Durban on Sunday at 16:00.
