“Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to declare a holiday in all educational institutions across the state on January 22, in view of the Ram Temple ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony.The CM has also said that liquor shops will remain closed in the state on the day,” ANI wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
The Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the new idol of Ram Lalla at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is scheduled for January 22. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officiate the Pran Pratishtha ceremony. On December 30, PM Modi encouraged people to light a ‘Shri Ram Jyoti’ in their homes and celebrate Deepavali on January 22, to celebrate the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. This ceremony will take place during the auspicious Sanjeevani Yoga. The Pran Pratishtha is set to occur in the Abhijeet Muhurat, specifically from 12:20 PM to 12:30 PM, which is considered a highly auspicious time for installing the Ram Lalla idol. Following the installation, PM Narendra Modi will perform the inaugural Aarti for Lord Shri Ram.

Preparations are in full swing for the opening of the Ram Temple, anticipating a large turnout of devotees and dignitaries from different backgrounds. The Indian Railways aims to operate over 1,000 trains from various regions to Ayodhya during the initial 100 days following the inauguration of the newly constructed Ram Mandir, in response to the expected demand. These train services are scheduled to commence on January 19, a few days before the grand inauguration ceremony, facilitating pilgrims to travel to the sacred city and return.
Amid the ongoing harsh winters, the Directorate of Secondary Education in Uttar Pradesh has instructed Secondary classes up to Class 12 to adjust their timings. Instead of starting at 8:50 AM and ending at 2:50 PM, the classes will now operate from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
