PHILIPPE CLEMENT’S Rangers re-structure next month could begin with a forgotten star.
According to a report the Ibrox boss is already making moves ahead of the January transfer window opening after the clash with Celtic.
And among the first bits of business for the Belgian boss could be a loan deal for one of the Gers promising stars.
Leon King found himself at the forefront of the Rangers defence last season and was trusted in the Champions League group stage as Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s squad was cut to the quick.
But after a head-knock against St Mirren he was a long term absentee and has been a largely forgotten man this season.
Instead the defender has been taking up a midfield role for the B team with first-team openings at a premium.

But Clement will ensure the teen continues his development by shipping him out on loan, says the Daily Record.
The 19-year-old can also play at full-back and was once watched by Newcastle and Manchester United before pledging his long-term future to his hometown team.
With Connor Goldson, Leon Balogun and John Souttar ahead of him in the central positions, there is also the lieks of Dujon Sterling and Adam Devine in the reckoning as back-up to the wide defensive areas of James Tavernier, Borna Barisic and Ridvan Yilmaz.
King may look elsewhere short-term for regular first-team football – but he may not be the only one.
Clement’s changes are also rumoured to include other potential exits for the likes of Yilmaz and Kieran Dowell, according to the report.
The Belgian has seen an upturn in Rangers‘ fortunes since he replaced Michael Beale and he is yet to lose in the dugout.
Gers take on Dundee on Saturday before next weekend’s League Cup final against Aberdeen at Hampden.
And he has been promised funds to make initial changes to the squad he inherited from ex-QPR boss Beale.
Chairman John Bennett said the “board would be ready” to back the manager, but Clement had cautioned he does not expect to do “a lot of things next month” and extensive changes might be delayed until the summer.
