Rebel Wilson is adding ‘author’ to her long list of credentials, announcing the release of her memoir.
The Australian actress said she was “so pumped” to share the book, telling her Instagram followers that it covers everything from her weight loss journey, sexuality, fertility and “juicy celeb” content.

The 43-year-old revealed the cover of the memoir, titled ‘Rebel Rising’, showing off a new look in a red sequined dress and relaxed wavy hair.
“A malaria-induced hallucination? An all-style martial arts fighting tournament? Junior handling at dog shows? And this was all BEFORE I moved to Hollywood!” read her post, which she shared on Thursday.
“I am so pumped to announce my book Rebel Rising, which is available now for pre-order and officially released April 2nd, 2024.
“For the first time, I’ve written about my journey – everything from weight gain and loss, sexuality, fertility issues, overcoming shyness, rejections etc.
“And of course, I’ve put in some juicy celeb stuff too!!“This is my story, told my way.
“I can’t wait to share it with you! I’ve been secretly working hard on this for the past 18 months and am so excited to get it out into the world!”
Fans and friends took to the comments to react to the upcoming memoir.
Wilson’s fiancée Ramona Agruma said, “❤️❤️❤️ So proud of you 😍”.
‘Woohoo 🙌❤️👏,” radio host Brittany Hockley said.
“OH MY! I’m so excited for this! And the book tour! 😝,” one wrote.

“Congrats! Can’t wait Rebel!” another said.
“This book is like me sitting down telling my deepest, darkest secrets to a friend…with some laughs along the way of course…so when it’s released, ‘my friend’ will become YOU,” Wilson says of the book, in a statement shared with 7Life.
“Rebel Rising follows Rebel’s incredible journey of ‘making it,’ constantly questioning ‘Am I good enough?,’ ‘Will I ever find love?’ and ‘Will I ever change and become healthy?’,” the excerpt reads.
Although this is Wilson’s first non-fiction work, the actress has previously authored a children’s book called Bella the Brave.
Released in October 2021, the book is about overcoming shyness – a problem the now-famous Aussie actress says she had when she was young.
Along with actor, directing and writing, Wilson is mother to daughter Royce, born by surrogate in November 2022.
She shares Royce with fiancée Ramona Agruma, with the couple announcing their engagement in February 2023, eight months after the actor came out as gay in June 2022.
