As part of its recruitment drive for 1,70,461 teachers in Bihar, the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) conducted the Bihar Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE) in August. The BPSC TRE results for various papers have been announced along with district-wise allocation lists on the official website bpsc.bih.nic.in. However, the commission is conducting a multi-layer filtering of the Bihar TRE result to make sure that undeserving candidates are excluded. That is why all the results that have been announced so far are conditional, according toBPSC Chairman Atul Prasad. He also highlighted that in case the posts remain vacant due to stringent filtering, it will be filled through one or more supplementary results.
“When we are dealing with such large numbers as in TRE, multi-layer filtering is needed to weed out undeserving ones. This is what’s going on & that’s why all results are conditional. Any vacancy arising out of this filtering will be filled by one or more supplementary results,” Prasad posted on X (formerly twitter).
The chairman of the Commission further informed that cut-off marks of all subjects are likely to be announced soon. “Very soon we will be declaring cut off marks in all TRE papers, he said in a separate post on X (formerly Twitter).
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is slated to distribute appointment letters to around 1 lakh successful candidates on November 2. The written examination for Bihar TRE was conducted from August 24 to August 26 in two shifts from 10 am to 12 noon and from 3: 30 pm to 5:30 pm across the state. The final answer key was released on October 15, 2023.
